Kirin Roberts-Mosley is the founder and owner of 1STOPOILSHOP, a fragrance business based in Duncanville, Texas, serving customers throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

But Kirin's journey into the fragrance business didn't begin when he opened his own store. It started years earlier, watching his father build a fragrance business from the ground up.

Where It All Started

From around the ages of 12 to 18, fragrance became a major part of Kirin's life.

Growing up, Kirin watched his father sell fragrances wherever he could. Some mornings, while taking Kirin to school, his father would stop at bus stops and sell fragrances to customers.

Kirin witnessed the hustle firsthand. Before there was a storefront, there was simply determination, product knowledge, customer service, and a willingness to go wherever the customers were.

Eventually, his father's hard work created a bigger opportunity: his first shop at Red Bird Mall.

There were days when his father couldn't find a babysitter, so Kirin had to go to work with him. As a kid, Kirin would play underneath and around the stand where his father had his fragrance oils set up.

Without realizing it at the time, Kirin was sitting inside his first classroom in the fragrance business.

Learning the Business Firsthand

Being around the fragrance stand allowed Kirin to learn firsthand about the different notes, strengths, and qualities of fragrance-based oils.

As he got older, he began paying closer attention and studying the products himself.

He learned that choosing a fragrance wasn't simply about what smelled good in the bottle. Different scents interact differently with a person's body chemistry. He learned how fragrance notes develop on the skin, which scent profiles complement one another, and why a fragrance can smell completely different from one person to the next.

Those years gave Kirin something that couldn't simply be learned from a book—real experience with fragrances and real customers.

From Watching His Father to Running a Store

Just as Kirin watched his father progress from selling fragrances at bus stops to earning an opportunity to operate a shop, another opportunity eventually came along: a storefront.

Fresh out of high school in 2016, Kirin helped manage and operate that storefront.

It became his first real job.

Instead of simply watching the business from underneath a fragrance stand as a child, Kirin was now helping run one.

He gained firsthand experience with the responsibilities that come with operating a retail business—working with customers, understanding what they were looking for, recommending fragrances, maintaining products, learning inventory, making sales, and helping keep the store running day after day.

The lessons his father had introduced him to as a child were now becoming skills Kirin could use on his own.

From His Father's Storefront to His Own

Years later, the journey came full circle.

The kid who once watched his father sell fragrances at bus stops, played underneath his father's fragrance stand, learned the business beside him, and helped manage a storefront fresh out of high school eventually reached another milestone:

Opening a location of his own.

Today, Kirin Roberts-Mosley is the founder and owner of 1STOPOILSHOP.

1STOPOILSHOP carries body fragrance oils and roll-ons, house and car fragrances, essential oils, body washes, lotions, shea butter, black soap, turmeric soap, candles, burning oils, and other fragrance and personal-care products.

But what separates the business isn't simply what's on the shelves.

Behind 1STOPOILSHOP are years of fragrance knowledge, customer experience, family history, and lessons passed from father to son.

Continuing the Legacy

For Kirin, 1STOPOILSHOP represents both a business and a continuation of what he grew up watching.

From the bus stop.
To the fragrance stand.
To helping run a storefront.
To owning his own location.

Each stage taught a different lesson.

Now Kirin's goal is to take those lessons and build something even bigger—growing 1STOPOILSHOP into a recognizable fragrance brand while maintaining the knowledge, personal service, and work ethic that started the journey years ago.

The story of 1STOPOILSHOP didn't begin when the doors opened.

It began with a father teaching his son the fragrance business—one scent, one customer, and one opportunity at a time.
